One of the most significant milestones achieved in 2023 was a 14% reduction in CO2 emissions. This achievement has been possible thanks to the implementation of more efficient technologies and the transition to renewable energy sources at its facilities. In line with this commitment, ISTOBAL now obtains more than 18% of its electricity from self-consumption photovoltaic energy sources at its power plant. These developments reflect the company's strategy of prioritising energy efficiency as part of its long-term sustainability plan.
In this sense, " We continuously refine our practices and processes to uphold the highest environmental standards, as evidenced by our certified quality systems in environmental management," said M. Jose Ramon, Operations Director of ISTOBAL.
In addition, the company has continued to innovate in the development of more sustainable products, launching new solutions focused on energy savings that have been very well received in the market. This constant innovation not only reinforces ISTOBAL's leadership in the industry, but also demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction.

With a workforce of more than 1,000 employees and a turnover of 156 million euros in 2023, ISTOBAL is committed to continuous training to face the challenges of the sector: "We want to continue to be a leading company in our industry and we are aware that the people who form it are the core of our success. That is why we have provided a total of 8,132 hours of training in the last year", explained Antonio Martínez, General Manager of ISTOBAL.
For example, this year ISTOBAL Spain received the 'Care for Others' award from BP in recognition of its firm commitment to the protection of workers, customers and users. This award underlines the company's dedication to the rigorous application of regulations and safety measures.
