General description
Model by Istobal S.A is a self-contained device for metering booster biocide to prevent Legionella bacteria from growing in car wash facilities.
In facilities with a recycler, the water used to wash vehicles is pumped from the pre-treated water tank to the zeolite filter (4RC) so that suspended particles can be eliminated before storing it, for reuse in the first wash stages.
The biocide unit pumps the chemical product into the pre-treated water tank. This allows the biocide to work in the pre-treated water tank, the zeolite filter and the storage tank. Biocide is dosed in accordance with the facility's dimensions, a greater amount being needed for larger pre-treated water and storage tanks.
Location
Install the unit in a place where it is easily accessible, away from direct sunlight, rain, humidity, and extreme temperatures (<0 and >45ºC).
The distance between the unit and the pre-treated water tank should not be more than 10 metres. Do not install near acids or vapours to avoid the risk of deflagration and explosion.
