What is the environmental impact of car wash equipment and chemical products?

We follow a sound corporate policy and respect the environment in everything we do. We are constantly developing new energy-efficient, sustainable systems in our R+D+i department in order to minimize consumption of water, energy and chemicals in our car wash equipment. We also develop water treatment and recycling systems and innovative sustainable containers for our chemical car wash products.

Through these efforts, we have managed to reduce water consumption in automated industrial equipment by 45%, by 40% in the latest-generation rollovers, and by 33% in the pressurized Jet wash areas, where we have also decreased our energy consumption by 32%. Our water treatment and recycling technology allows us to recover up to 80% of the water used for each wash, as well as to cut the amount of hydrocarbons in the leftover water by 94%.

Additionally, all the ISTOBAL Esens® chemical products are biodegradable, and many of them have been recognised for their quality and sustainability with various European certificates, proving that these products meet the maximum demands on effectiveness and respecting the environment.
